Q.	Does the Cuisinart dgb900-bc have a hotplate?
A.	I find the dgb900-bc hot plate works during the brewing process but the hot plate shuts off when the brewing process ends. My former DGB-700 Model that had the Glass Coffee Pot is identical except it allowed you to set the hot plate to stay on from 1- 4hrs. They have eliminated that 1-4hr. option on the 900DGB instructions. I still highly recommend the product. Easy to clean unit and functions well. Keeps coffee hot long enough
Q.	Will this machine use ground coffee as well as beans?
A.	It's primarily for beans, but there is a button that shuts off the grinding cycle. You will have to put the grounds into the basket yourself.
Q.	I put 12 cups of water in it and make 6 cups of coffee. However, all the water seems to be gone after brewing. Is there a reason for that?
A.	Coffee makers measure their cups in 6oz. portions and most coffee cups hold 8 or 10oz.
Q.	Does it work in european electric standards?
A.	This one is for 120V
